Session 3 - Transforming Project Tracking: Practical Use of Earned Value Management for PMs

Every AEC project manager aims to effectively track schedules and budgets. Yet, even with the abundance of data available today, doing so efficiently remains a challenge. At Henderson Engineers, we’ve embarked on a journey to transform Earned Value Management from a tool often viewed as accounting-specific into a practical project tracking solution for our PMs.

In this session, Lynn Browning, P.E., PMP, will share Henderson’s journey over the past few years to implement a practical Earned Value Management process for their PMs, focusing on how they’ve structured the data to make it truly useful.

Session 4 - Panel: Public and Private Sector PMs Working Together

One of the keys to large infrastructure projects is clear communication between all stakeholders, especially those project managers in the private and public sector. However, with all the communication channels available today, keeping these communications streamlined and efficient can be complicated.

This AEC PM Connect panel, facilitated by Anthony Fasano, P.E., AEC PM, will serve as an avenue to summarize some of the most effective communication strategies utilized by both private and public sector project managers. Panelists will give some examples from real life projects and potentially some tools that they use to ensure communication is happening effectively from initiation to closeout.
