In this 30 minute showcase, Jason Griffin, P.G., Vice President of Sales will walk you though how a design-build specialty contractor such as Menard views innovation in their field and how creativity remains as the primary source of technology advancement. They’ll review the typical life cycle of a ground improvement technology and how they can better identify opportunities for innovation in order to bring more value to the marketplace. Several creative evolutions and outright innovations of ground improvement technologies will be presented.
About Jason Griffin, P.G.
Jason began his career at Menard as a project engineer in 2004. Successfully working on the early development of ground improvement projects, including preliminary designs, cost estimation, and proposal preparation, he became the Estimating Manager in 2008, relocated in 2010 to open and operate the Menard office in Cleveland. Jason was promoted to Vice President of Sales in 2015. Jason has worked on several major and technically challenging projects including PennDOT Betsy Ross Bridge, FedEx Secaucus Warehouse, and DC-DOT Replacement of South Capital St. Bridge. Jason has played an integral role in Menard’s significant growth as well as advancing the Controlled Modulus Column (CMC)TM technology in the building and highway markets, working with numerous public and private owners to implement CMC and other ground improvement techniques for a wide array of structures. Jason has also been instrumental in the success of two of the largest column-supported embankment projects in US history – NJDOT – Exit 14a and IADOT I-28/I-80.

About Anthony Fasano, P.E.
After becoming successful as a civil engineer at a very young age, Fasano realized that his success was largely related to the development of his non-technical, or core skills. Since that time, he has decided to transition his career from designing to inspiring engineers in their soft skill development through coaching, speaking, and training. He has also co-authored a series of children’s books with his 11-year-old daughter, titled “Purpee the Purple Dragon.” They have delivered hundreds of books to pediatric cancer centers around the world.
