How to Use LinkedIn Effectively for dk Engineering Professionals (1 PDH)

Building strong relationships is a critical component of career success for engineering professionals. One tool that can facilitate building relationships is LinkedIn. LinkedIn is a free social networking site dedicated 100% to professional use. Unfortunately, most engineering professionals don’t use it effectively. However, it’s actually easy to use and leverage, if you follow the tips presented in this module.

In this session, you will learn how to:

Build an engaging LinkedIn profile,
Connect with the right people for you and your company,
Use LinkedIn to show your and your company’s expertise,
Leverage LinkedIn Groups instead of wasting time in them, and,
Obtain recommendations to attract clients and new opportunities.

The PM 2 program serves as a comprehensive document of the various responsibilities of project managers that are needed to increase the likelihood of person, team, and firm success. Taking this course helped me to recognize some of my blind spots that I frequently overlook in my regular work. I leave this course having a greater perspective of how to deal with clients and project teams, rather than focusing on only the project work at hand.
