Kurt Doughty is a Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer at The Boeing Company with 20+ years of experience in the aerospace industry, including a variety of engineering and management responsibilities. He currently leads model-based engineering (MBE) initiatives for 777X environmental control systems (ECS) and is a Boeing Designated Expert of liquid cooling systems and co-chair of the ECS MBE technical council.
Prior to joining Boeing in 2021, Kurt worked for Collins Aerospace where he was Senior Manager and value stream leader for digital maintenance solutions and data analytics. In this role, he led product strategy and development for Ascentia®️, Collins’ advanced data management and analytics services for more intelligent airline operations. He also created an aerospace prognostics and health management (PHM) center of excellence in Singapore where he was the engineering lead developing, validating, and deploying prognostic models to drive proactive aircraft maintenance and avoid flight schedule interruptions.Before his work in PHM and data analytics, Kurt supported aircraft final assembly and delivery (FA&D) functional and flight tests for Collins systems and components on the Boeing 787. He also previously held senior system engineering positions leading design and verification of aerospace components, system controls, and integrated system labs.
Kurt has been awarded five US patents and received his B.S. in engineering physics and M.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Connecticut.
