Learning Content & Design Specialist

Position Overview:

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Learning Content & Design Specialist to support the development of high-impact learning materials for our Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) leadership and project management programs. This remote position focuses on designing
engaging slide presentations and accompanying scripts that communicate complex concepts with clarity and visual appeal.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Slide Design and Development

  • Create visually compelling, brand-aligned PowerPoint slides for technical and
    non-technical content.
  • Use graphics, charts, and visual metaphors to boost learner engagement and
    comprehension.
  • Apply consistent formatting, layout standards, and accessibility best practices.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback from SMEs and instructors.

2. Script Writing and Editing

  • Develop clear, engaging scripts that align with learning objectives.
  • Edit for tone, grammar, accuracy, and instructional clarity.
  • Adapt scripts for various formats (live delivery, webinars, on-demand modules).

3. Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with subject matter experts, instructors, and program managers to
    capture instructional intent.
  • Join client and internal calls to gather input and implement feedback.
  • Maintain regular communication to ensure alignment throughout the project
    lifecycle.

4. Project and Asset Management

  • Manage multiple instructional projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Maintain an organized repository of slides, scripts, and assets for reuse and
    version control.

5. Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement

  • Review materials for accuracy, flow, and visual consistency.
  • Stay current on industry trends in instructional design, visual storytelling, and e-learning.

6. Zoom Facilitation

  • Serve as a facilitator for Zoom sessions, including:
    • Setting up and managing breakout rooms.
    • Launching and monitoring polls.
    • Monitoring and engaging with chat communications.
    • Progressing presentation slides during sessions.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues promptly to ensure smooth session delivery.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in
    STEM or Engineering.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Google Workspace, and design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to simplify complex topics.
  • Familiarity with AEC terminology and technical concepts (preferred).
  • Proficient English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Highly organized and responsive with excellent time management.

You will be expected to:

  • Maintain responsive communication
    Respond to all Slack and Gmail messages within 24 hours to ensure smooth
    collaboration and workflow across the team.
  • Be available during core working hours
    You must be available Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Mountain Time,
    to participate in meetings and communicate in real time with the team.
  • Respect deadlines and follow through on commitments
    Deliver all assigned tasks and projects by the agreed-upon deadlines while maintaining
    high standards of quality and accuracy.

Job Type

Part-Time (20 – 25 hrs/week to start, Mon–Fri, with potential for full-time)

Work Location

Remote (U.S. Time Zone Required) – must be fluent in English
